At tomorrow's logic seminar (4-5.30pm in the graduate common room) I will introduce a discussion of the Frege-Hilbert correspondence. Anyone unfamiliar with the issues should if possible read Patricia Blanchette, "Frege and Hilbert on consistency", J. Phil., 93 (1996) 317-36 http://www.jstor.org/stable/2941124 beforehand for orientation, although I am not planning for the discussion to focus closely on Blanchette's account.
