The next meeting of the *Philosophy of Science* Reading Group will take place at 2pm TOMORROW in HPS Seminar Room 1. We will be discussing Part II of John Dupre's Spinoza lectures, _The Constituents of Life_ (2006, van Gorcum). Rick Welch will introduce the reading. This will serve as a nice warm-up act for Huw Price's Departmental Seminar at 4.30. ____________________________________________________________ The next meeting of the *Philosophy of Biology* Reading Group will take place at 2pm on FRIDAY in the HPS Lodge Seminar Room. We will be discussing 'Selection at Multiple Levels: Concepts and Methods', Chapter 2 of Samir Okasha's awarding book, _Evolution and the Levels of Selection_ (2006, OUP). ____________________________________________________________ All are welcome to attend either reading group, including graduates, visitors and staff from any department. Don't worry if you missed the first meeting -- there is still time to join in the ontological or multi-level fun, respectively.
