I don't think it changes anything, but as Jakub pointed out, I thinko'd the name in the email you're responding to, it's pg_aios, not pg_stat_aios. It shows the currently in-flight IOs, not accumulated statistics about them, hence no _stat_. I went with plural because that's what we have in other views showing the "current" state: - pg_cursors - pg_file_settings - pg_prepared_statements - pg_prepared_xacts - pg_replication_slots - pg_locks - ...
