The replication system released last week (erserver: see gborg) is the one that we originally used on our production systems. It held up under load for 2 years. If you do a whois for .info or .org domain names, you are hitting a PostgreSQL database. You can check out the SLAs on those systems on the ICANN site, since they post all the contracts.
