Some time ago one of the web developers on this list brought up this excellent
topic pointing out the pitfalls of using too many div tags in web page design.
I've recently discovered the Inspect Element functionality in Firefox, which
makes it very easy to view the layout of any site. I had a bit of a shock using
this on www.gmx.com, which reveals nested divs to a very high degree. The
Divitis article at http://csscreator.com/divitis states this is a "newbie"
affliction. I doubt the GMX developers are newbies, so are there exceptions to
this rule? BTW I hate the GMX webmail site - it's slow, cumbersome and buggy,
so it wouldn't surprise me if the site is riddled with examples of bad-practice.
