Aaaaargh! It's happened!

My 3-year old 27-inch iMac has seriously died. And yes, I do have Time Machine
backups (phew) so I'm able to restore essentials to my wife's still-working
21-inch iMac.

I've done my Googling so I know about physical failure, PCB failure, and what
the chances are (about zero). So the question is what should I do?

As I see it I could:
Take it to KCRS for repair,
Buy a new HDD and do it myself,
Buy a new iMac,
Take the drive out and send it to an HDD-fixing place (such as PCBSolution.com
in the US),
All of the above,
None of the above,
Buy a PC (no, not that!)

I would really appreciate any thoughts you may have and/or any help you can
offer (happy to pay).

Many thanks in anticipation,

Brian
