Hi Phil, I have tries TestDisk and had the following results: Disk /dev/sda - 320 GB / 298 GiB - CHS 38914 255 63 Partition Start End Size in sectors >* HPFS - NTFS 0 32 33 1529 232 47 24576000 [PQSERVICE] P HPFS - NTFS 1529 232 48 1542 254 63 210247 [SYSTEM RESERVED] P HPFS - NTFS 1543 0 1 11540 140 57 160610682 [ACER] L Linux 11541 2 1 38426 254 63 431923464 L Linux Swap 38427 1 1 38912 254 40 7807504
Apparently TestDisk can see all partitions. How safe is it to use Test Disk to repair or recreate the partition table? Have you done it before?
