Dave, I had a problem getting a microphone working with openSUSE 11.2. I solved it with the following: 'Applications Launcher' 'Systems Settings' 'Multimedia' Then make sure that the 'Audio capture' element is pointing to the correct device. I had a PCI audio card as well as the on-board sound and it seemed to get confused as to which it was trying to use. They are likely to have kept this format for 11.4 Regards Iain
