Hi all, I couldn't make last night, car troubles - anyone who's owned a '73 VW Beetle will know what I'm talking about ;) - sounds like it was good though, which is always nice to hear.
I've got a small project of mine, and a few colleagues, on the go. We want to build a robot. Starting small it wouldn't be much to do with Linux, with the exception of some light C programming which would be compiled to run on a PIC (or similar) microcontroller. But, later we dream of running a full Linux bot. Given the immaturity of the project, I'm not sure it warrants a group meeting, but certainly if anyone has tried this in the past and would like to share their experiences that might be nice? Also, another topic I've always been interested in, but again, never got off the group is environmental control using FOSS software and hardware designs. Again, any one with experience in this field? I'd be well up for talks or group discussions on either of these subjects. Regards, Jon -- All postal correspondence to: Positive House, 24 Broadway, London.
