I think mine must be. In the front it says "Copyright (c) 1978 Bell Telephone Laboratories, Incorporated" and that it was typeset on a PDP-11/70. Is that a first ed?
BTW, I still think it's one of the best beginners books on C and it's about a quarter of the thickness of most modern ones.
