At some point I'd like to go on one of those ethical hacker training courses (not for malicious purposes) but until then I do agree it would be a good topic to cover if anyone is in the know with regard to linux security and any holes we should be aware of.
If anyone is up for it you could possibly set up a couple of demonstrations, practicals would also be a good idea. Breaking into your own laptop will give us all a sense of how secure or the lack thereof of our own systems, followed by a follow up pracitcal of locking down the hatches, and trying again.
