Hi It could be a similar problem to what I have with Debian Lenny and my laptop (which uses CirrusLogic SoundFusion drivers) according to Debian themselves - a dispute over the license to redistribute the drivers for CirrusLogic soundcards, they left them out of the kernel. Could be that you need to search some forums online and see if you can come up with anyone else that has problems with Fedora and thse specific drivers you mention and if / how they resolved it.
I think my answer was to re compile the latest kernel however I am not that brave so frozen bubble has to be played in silence instead. (sad face).
