I have seen this before on a couple of windows laptops - turned out to be the router as it also dropped my EeePC connection. Tried various levels of security including none at all and it would still at some point dis-associate from the access point / router. Solution was a new router. Might be worth trying it elsewhere eg McDonalds free wi-fi to see if it does the same there.
