dear kathy,

I think the moth (UnID 3) could be a Tinea pellionella

best regards

Hello all,

I’m hoping someone can confirm my ID’s on these fellows. I have not seen them
in my museum before. Located in the high desert environment of Price, Utah. The
scale bars are mm.

UnID 1 – Based on photos from museumpests.net I believe this is Ptinus fur, the
white marked spider beetle. Can someone confirm/dispute?
UnID 2 – Click beetle, genus Conoderus? Or should it be Monocrepidius? If so,
does it pose any kind of a threat in the museum? From what I have read it’s
larvae feed on underground roots and tubers….
UnID 3 – Fairly certain this is Tineola bisselliella but something about the
way the wings lie has me doubting myself.
UnID 4 & 4.1 – I found a few of these on different traps. To me, they do not
look like anything on Museumpests. I suspect some kind of fungus or scavenger
beetle but any information would be helpful. Apologies for not fully capturing
the scale.

Thank you for your time,
