Group - Drywood termite frass. Very distinctive pellets. They look like miniature, old-time, deflated footballs, the color of the wood on which they are feeding. They are NOT eggs. Probably not an active infestation. Tom Parker On Friday, November 1, 2024 at 08:11:23 AM EDT, 'Jessica Routleff-Jones' via MuseumPests <pestlist@googlegroups.com> wrote:
Hi Pest list, I’m hoping that someone might be able to help ID these eggs, please? I’ve come across this cluster of eggs on the back of a bark painting from Papua New Guinea. Some of them were loose but some of them look like they are embedded within a resin which I figure (and hope) means they could be very old. I tried to get some close up photos under a Dinolite but there are some taken on a phone also that show what they look like to the naked eye. Just wondering if anyone has seen any eggs like this before?
