We've used some inconspicuous "decorative" looking UV wall sconce traps for a
cluster fly problem in one of our buildings, Leslie. They seem to help and it
isn't really obvious to visitors what they are.

If no color to them they are probably cluster flies. I would use UV light traps
at night but you would have to cut all other lights off for it to work. If
cluster flies they should cycle through fairly quickly/desiccate and die on
their own.

Are these larger than normal house flies but look like house flies? Any color
sheen to them or not so much?

Good Morning Folks, I am currently working in collections at a museum which is
housed in a wooden building and we have a pretty major fly problem. The
collection is industrial so we are not concerned about the objects as much as
the presence of the flies. We have tried fly strips and traps which are not
very visually appealing for visitors. So, we are looking for ways to mitigate
this problem without fumigating the building (as this would be quite costly and
the budget is limited).
Any suggestions?
Thank you in advance!
