Ok – sounds like they may have been just hitched a ride in the box. If you do not have to keep the box don’t. If you have to keep it for context or what- ever then freeze the box and clean it out the best that you can. Do not freeze the reverse glass painting.

However, given the great variety in the living world there may be webbing clothes moths that are grey. Todd, they were in the bubble wrap that was protecting a framed reverse glass painting. I'm told that the painting had been in the box for some time but that may be speculation. The owner of the house was deceased and the house was described as somewhat dirty; dust, cobwebs etc. The packing has been disposed of and the box and painting are sealed in plastic until I get an idea of what we are dealing with.
