Holes need to be filled with filler or epoxy to eliminate that issues. If That is too aggressive for the object you can mask the pheromone inside the hole by swabbing with white vinegar. If they can feel the grain in the wood( no paint or clear coat/thin paint or clear coat) this will be an ongoing problem if left outside. The adult.jpg shows a moth which is probably not associated with the bee problem. I can't tell what the species is, so don't know whether it may represent another problem (affecting wool or horsehair elements in the carriage). Unfortunately, we haven’t located any boring holes/exit holes. Photographed are samples of an adult and what appears to be larvae or excrement (we are unsure). The railroad car was moved to Sacramento, CA at the beginning of the year and there was no activity at the time. This is a recent development. Please let me know if anyone can help identify. Thanks in advance!
