Have you looked for larger holes the size of your pinkie perfectly round like
carpenter bee holes? People usually look for very tiny holes first. JTV

Hello,

We’ve noticed sawdust and remnants underneath one of our wood paneled railroad
cars. Unfortunately, we haven’t located any boring holes/exit holes.
Photographed are samples of an adult and what appears to be larvae or excrement
(we are unsure).

The railroad car was moved to Sacramento, CA at the beginning of the year and
there was no activity at the time. This is a recent development.

Please let me know if anyone can help identify. Thanks in advance!

Thanks,
Melanie
