If you're ready for two spectests that currently pass to start failing,
you can do that. On the other hand, my patch causes the exact same
failures and but replaces :instanceof with something useful, so if we
can put up with that regression for a few days I may as well just put my
patch in today as it is anyway. (Trying to get some hacking break
today...RSI is going to bite me next week otherwise. Thus why I'd rather
not try and fix it all up today.)
