Hello everyone,
I've been following parrot development for quite a while and have dived into it's internals over the past months. Fortunately, I've recently acquired more spare time than I used to have, which I'd love to spend hacking on parrot. And just in time for the SoC, which I've noticed TPF is apparently entering again as a mentoring organization. So I figured I'd ask a few questions. I'd like to know what (if any) extra requirements does Parrot (or TPF as the case may be) have for it's SoC applicants, both technical and nontechnical. For instance, I'm located in Argentina, which makes any kind of face-to-face interaction unlikely, if not impossible. Also, I dislike working in a vacuum, so I wanted to know what is the proper channel to get feedback on proposal ideas, and interact with likely mentors beforehand, which I believe is the best way to craft a proposal that gives the most benefits to both the project and myself. On the other hand, if this isn't the proper place to ask this, I'd appreciate a pointer to it.
