I don't think that's entirely fair. James's experiment here is an experiment, and if it fails we can learn something from it. Personally, I find that using SVK and creating local branches saves me from this trouble, but I have commit access to Parrot and that might not be the easiest solution for other people. Perhaps an alternate solution is to document how people can create and update their own local branches effectively even if they don't have commit access (or whether they prefer SVK or Git). -- c
