It shouldn't because I should have long ago writen a routine to check my
diagnostics instead of hard coding it all over the tests.

Did you see the number of bug fixes between 0.60 and 0.61?  No, I'm not
rolling back the entire release.

Take a stab at fixing Test::Builder::Tester.
