I'm working on Win32::IE::Mechanize which uses InternetExplorer.Application via Win32::OLE. It should be able to handle JavaScript. Downside is, it isn't completely compatible with WWW::Mechanize (and you'll need a windows box with IE6) If you're interested in that, I can send you a pre-alpha version, although I haven't got the time to work on it right now...
