I have a couple of these. They do not have huge amounts of CPU, but they are fairly decent Unix boxes and have pretty decent graphics capabilities. UltraLinux should run pretty nicely on these (though I'd run Solaris, but that's just me). If they're giving them to you for free, I'd go for it without hesitation. I wouldn't run away from the machines, though I might run away from the price depending on what it was...
