Hi fellow Perlers,

Please forgive what may be a foolish question. I'm trying to play with
converting MARC to XML. I'm using the LC supplied mrc2xml.pl program, which
I downloaded from: http://www.loc.gov/marc/marcxml.html#marcdtd

I got it installed and thought I was pretty smart until I tried
(unsuccessfully) to run it. My syntax and error message are as follows.

D:\Perl>perl -S mrc2xml.pl -charconv input-Tolstoy.MRC
'nsgmls' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
'nsgmls' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
Cannot open input file "input-Tolstoy.MRC".

Has anyone else used this? Under Windows 2000? Is it my syntax? Or something
in the file?

Once again, please forgive a foolish question if the answer is something
that would be dead obvious to the more technically astute.

JJ
