Hi, Thanks Rob. I could install DBD-Oracle 1.19 from trouchelle.com/ppm/, but it is giving the following error message when I run a simple script which connects to an oracle database and selects the sysdate from dual. The script itself seems okay because I am able to run it successfully on another PC with Perl 5.8.8 build 817 and DBD-Oracle 1.17. If I remember right, this DBD-Oracle 1.17 is also from trouchelle.com and not from ActiveState. The error is :
"install_driver(Oracle) failed: Can't load 'C:/Perl/site/lib/auto/DBD/Oracle/Oracle.dll for module DBD::Oracle: load_file: one of the library files needed to run this application cannot be found at C:/Perl/lib/Dynaloader.pm line 229 at (eval4) line 3. Compilation failed in require at (eval4) line 3. Perhaps a required shared library or dll isn't installed where expected at ora_test.plx line 7." ora_test.plx is the name of my script and the line at which it is choking is the DBI connect line. jagdish eashwar On 8/20/07, [EMAIL PROTECTED] < [EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Send Perl-Win32-Users mailing list submissions to > [email protected] > > To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit > http://listserv.ActiveState.com/mailman/listinfo/perl-win32-users > or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > You can reach the person managing the list at > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific > than "Re: Contents of Perl-Win32-Users digest..." > > > Today's Topics: > > 1. problems in installing dbd-oracle through ppm (jagdish eashwar) > 2.
