That is understandable. Build 817.90 was the first ActivePerl version
to bundle the Tcl interpreter and widget set. So if you install the
Tcl and Tkx modules into earlier builds then you need to install
ActiveTcl
too.

Thanks a lot!

Yes, we were already planning to fix this for the final 818 release.

This may have to wait for a later release; the problem is that for
commandline operation we cannot use Unicode, and the GUI is limited
in what the PPM4 backend provides. This is *not* a limitation of
Tkx.

Yes, I noticed that too. It has already been fixed this morning. :)

You can edit the name in the GUI too by clicking into the name field,
but it seems to be somewhat flaky. But I think we need to be able
to edit the URL too.

Ok, I'll file a bug for this.

Both Komodo Pro and the Perl Dev Kit currently ship with VPM, a visual
PPM client. There seem to be a significant number of people who like
the GUI interface. We thought it would be better to bundle it with
ActivePerl instead of putting it into the for-pay products, so we added
a GUI when we wrote PPM4. This will let us remove VPM from Komodo 4 and
PDK 7 whenever they are released.

Cheers,
