FileBench followers,
I finally figured out all the nuts and bolts of getting new versions
of FileBench into the build environment its SourceForge releases use.
So, I have just put up a "Catch up" Release of FileBench v1.4.4, which
includes the following:
- Multi-client support
- A Video Server Workload
- New Directory manimpulation Flowops and the ability to create empty
leaf directories within a fileset
- Addition of the ability to select files from a fileset based on a
(possibly
random) index
- Changes to make adding plug-in file system clients (such as NFS)
easier to create
- Fixes to the shutdown procedure within go_filebench
The specific CRs are:
6708713 FileBench needs to run in multi-client mode
6720351 FileBench should have a Video Server like workload
6725102 FileBench needs some directory manipulation flowops
6753319 SUNWfilebench package dependency issue in snv_99
6745471 FileBench needs to be able to randomly select files from a fileset
6745474 FileBench's fileset_pick() routine needs to more efficiently
select appropriate files
6792062 FileBench needs work to allow plug-in file system clients
6708797 mutex lock failed: Lock is not recoverable
6720135 go_filebench core dumping in snv_89 on sparc
6765549 go_filebench is core dumping on snv_101
A couple more versions are in the pipeline, and will be released to
SourceForge as soon as they are finished.
Drew
