FileBench fans,
This change cleans up 4 feature requests that have been hanging
around for a while:
6584939 <http://monaco.sfbay.sun.com/detail.jsp?cr=6584939> filebench should be
smarter about how its opening files
6685196 <http://monaco.sfbay.sun.com/detail.jsp?cr=6685196> need stricter
fd/filename checking so workload writers don't get confused
6601215 <http://monaco.sfbay.sun.com/detail.jsp?cr=6601215> Filebench needs to allow
specification of a "warmup" period
6786324 <http://monaco.sfbay.sun.com/detail.jsp?cr=6786324> need way to reuse
fileset without first checking every file
As well as one recently filed bug, which actually appears to have been caused
by an problem with the system that FileBench happened to be running on, but did
show that FileBench still wasn't always shutting down as cleanly as it should.
The root cause seems to be a pair of missing braces that caused a watchdog
thread to quit prematurely. However a few other things were cleaned up too to
improve the shutdown process.
6811694 <http://monaco.sfbay.sun.com/detail.jsp?cr=6811694> System hung while
running snv_109 on V210
