Long time lurker. My sister has been asking me about how to get her old printed photos scanned to digital files. My guess is her family albums of 4x6's. Should she use a service or buy a bulk scanner (vs flatbed).
The scanners run $200-$600 depending on quality (Epson FastFoto FF-680W being the high end, Plustek the low end). Hard to spend $600 for what essentially is tool for only a limited amount of time. Does anyone have any experience with either of these? Preferences one way or the other? -- Thanks!
