I think the black marks could be the little "hair" from the same material 
used on recent Pentax hoods. Mine has the same problem too and I had to 
remove the rear element to blow them off (3 tiny screws on the lens mount). 
I would say they should not choose that material in the 1st place (just not 
very practical). But you would never know what they were thinking.
