Dave (and Cotty)

Cotty’s link is to information about the older style I/O iPad connection. Fine
if that is what you have.

My 3-year old iPad and Meg’s 2-3 year old iPad mini both have the newer
Lightening connecter. I have used something like this

connecting via HDMI to TV sets for slide shows. No reason you couldn’t do the
same with your mini, depending on the shape of your connector.

Cotty, the newest iPads, as of late 2018, are now using the USB-C interface
which should open up many I/O opportunities compared to the more limited
Lightening.
I will be buying one before too long, primarily for the increased memory (for
image storage/backup while traveling) and I do not really look forward to that
change in interface. Oh well.
