I appreciated the captions present on many of photos, did some search on the mountains mentioned. Found a discussion of “traditional pilgrimage routes” in one place. Is this why the trails seem well developed? Ancient? Still used as trading routes? Or solely for trekkers? I will have a few days at altitude in Peru next year.
