Henk.. I watched the last 15 minutes of the Taylor Canyon vid this
morning... Now I need to find another one for tomorrow.
It is high desert, and if you go in the fall or April it is quite
comfortable... and can get down to freezing at night. The key to
this kind of exploring is high clearance vehicle and lots and lots of
water, a broad brimmed hat for treking and plenty of sunscreen.
oh yes, and a camera :-)

Ann, great to watch, in particular the first video! Never been there
but this is almost the same experience except not knowing how hot it
is there.
Perhaps I can steal one of these frames for the next PUG.;-)

Instead of watching the news or checking ebay and mail first thing in
the morning, I now have discovered the perfect blood pressure lowering
passtime - which I do while attached to my blood prssure machine and
now my 90 day average is down to 126/63... more like 120/63 if you
take just the last few weeks...
So here it is... In one minimized window I have bird songs or navaho
chants or other pleasing stuff playing softly,
In the window I'm watching , full screen, is a video of roads taken
or not taken in the USA southwest by travelers who
mounted their equipment on their four wheelers or just cars...
I mute the sound and reduce the speed of the playback.. always play
in HD..
This one happens to be a road we didnt drive on but in an area I love
- Canyonlands

and this is the first one I watched - which was a road I knew well
and I know several of you do, too.

I also took The Mokie Dugway, The Burr trail, highway 12 from Boulder
to Escalante, Capitol Reef scenic route, etc...
I dug out my Roadside GEo books and maps and my journals too.. wheeee!
