Although, I can't help but wonder if you'd be able to do more with your macros using the new K-p, the sample photos I saw showed it giving the K-1 a run for its money in high ISO, and it does have a smaller pixel pitch (24 vs 18 MP in APS). For just about everything else, except maybe long telephoto work, I expect the K-1 is still a much nicer camera though.
I gave some thought to the K-3ii and K-P since either would also have pixel shift. APS-C has some advantages for macro work in that the image does not have to be magnified as much to fill the frame. But ultimately the K-1 seemed to be the way to go. The only drawback to the K-1 that I see is that it might trigger an LBA relapse.
