It's probably because the SUV has replaced the station wagon. SUV's are classified as "light trucks" and it gives people peculiar notions of what a truck should be. 8-D

Ain't nothin' changed about that since Henry was alive. And the F250/C2500 are of course the Three Quarter Tonnage Version, Plus Overload, Meant to Haul, Day In, a Ton and A Half. Not You and your city butt. Rather Cows, Swine, whatever. And the Mighty F350/3500? That is the One Tonner, Meant to Haul Two Tons, over Farm to Market Roads (dirt, asphalt, rutted, pot-holed, road-graded, occasionally Actually Paved) at 1940's to 1960's speeds. Guess what? They will do that. All Day. Want a smooth Ride? Buy a Jaguar XJL. But at my place, when I put on my Justins, my Wranglers, button up a blue chambray work shirt, grab my Wells Lamont Gloves and Bailey Hat (Stetson's are for Church -- or Court) and head out to back where the trucks are parked, I ain't looking for a carriage ride.
