I'm ambidextrous. With film bodies, I used my left eye. Digital I tend
to use my right. Part of the reason was the cataract that developed in
my left eye; it was dead center of my FOV. By the time it was visible
to the doc, I had adapted to using my right eye. Post cataract
surgeries on both, I still use the right, despite the left having a
better distance correction. I've trained myself to keep the left eye
open to pay attention to other things.
