The greasy spot on the ground where the horse used to be isn't a smoking
crater yet, so I might as well pull out my flogger and join the fun.
I am amused by people complaining about the lightroom folder/directory
structure, because I find that one of its key advantages is being able
to set up and implement my own directory structure. Then using some of
Jeff Friedl's tools, I can even process the files into jpegs while
maintaining the directory structure.
Note, if there is something you need that Lightroom doesn't do, chances

Interesting, this uses PS from LR to emulate layers in LR:

I really do find that lightroom, in many ways, acts very much like a
digital analog to working in the darkroom.
