I would go into your network settings and manually set the DNS to use Google's Public DNS: Google Public DNS IP addresses The Google Public DNS IP addresses (IPv4) are as follows: 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4 If everything starts working (you can now connect to links) then that tells you that your regular DNS was/is the problem.
