Have you considered using a proprietary flash bounce system instead of a diffuser? I've seen one that you can velcro onto the the flash, providing an angled, diffused bounce, with the added benefit of moving the actual flash source further away from the camera, if the flash is hot-shoe mounted. Hard shadows and red-eye will be less of a problem, and the light is more flattering. I'm sure someone can point out a manufacturer and system.
When photographing groups of people stood chatting, try to keep the various subjects more or less the same distance away from the flash, or you'll get one or two foreground faces blasted away. And finally - DON'T DRINK! ;-) Cotty _______________________________________________________ Personal email traffic to [EMAIL PROTECTED] MacAds traffic to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Check out the UK Macintosh ads http://www.macads.co.uk - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
