This set of photos is one reason I was almost late getting to UPS to send Colin 
the cambro.  I went out to the shed to get some packing supplies and the light 
on some flowers caught my eye, so I had to grab my camera.

I'm actually dithering between two different crops of this shot.

i prefer this one, but would like to see an even wider field to the left and perhaps above, to get more of those purple fronds and get more of the sense that the bee is in a field of fronds

in the set, i was drawn to 20120809-_LRC6060.jpg because it is, if you will, more "candid"; symmetry will always have a special circuit in my visual cortex, but i tend to find disheveled, rotting, dried, smashed or stunted plant life a refreshing change from perfect flowers
