Thank you, Bruce! When I took the horseshoe shot, the man who owns the
horses said, "That's just junk. I don't keep the place up like I did
when I was younger." It's amazing how often junk makes the best photos,
though.
If opportunities like this are happening before I even get my K20D, I
can't imagine what waits in store upon its impending arrival. ;-)

What a tremendous opportunity, Walt! You really took good advantage of
it too. That horseshoes shot is killer.
With that many horseshoes your luck is bound to improve hugely. :-)

Hi all,
Just wanted to post a few shots I got with my K-x today -- the final day
(hopefully) before my K20D arrives.
A couple of shots may look familiar as they're slightly different takes on
shots that I've taken before and sought to improve upon. Serendipitously
enough, I ran into the gentleman who owns the land in the shot with the old
tobacco barn on the hill, and he told me I was welcome to use his land to
take photos anytime I want. He also owns an old horse track where he trains
his harness-racers and invited me to come out and shoot any morning while he
trains.
He really is a great guy -- one of the nicest human beings I've ever
known. I didn't even have to ask. He just flat-out gave me permission when
he saw me walking around his track with my camera. But I digress . . .
