I want to say now that I don't remember ever seeing the photograph at
the link below, never even heard of the Dusseldorf school.

Now my image isn't overtly manipulated, every element that was there is
still there. The only things I did were play with the luminance values
and contrast, as I would have done in traditional darkroom work, (which
was nearly impossible to do with color in the days before digitization),
based on Rhine II I;d bet that's not true of the work by Gursky. Are
both works derivative? Probably, I'm sure my vision was influenced by
some image I've seen somewhere, and I'll bet his was too. The only
difference is that his is Iconic while mine sells for $45.00, in local
art shows if it sells at all.
