I TOTALLY disagree. By standardizing on the smaller size of the CCD (not the resolution) the can now proceed to design faster smaller optics with better DOF than by using a 35mm size sensor. As long as the resolution isnt fixed, they can continue to design higher and higher rez cameras using the smae optics. It's a great idea.
