Sometimes I wish I'd been born in the '30's so I'd have grown up during
the 50's hot jazz scene -- much of my favourite music. It might as well
be embalmed and displayed in museums now for all the attention it gets.
Some of Canada's A-list players get $100 a gig at local bars like The
Pilot in Yorkville.
