On 17/4/11, Bruce Walker, discombobulated, unleashed: >Cotty, you should give iMovie '11 a try sometime; it's gotten much more >powerful that you might imagine. Plus it appears to be the way that >Apple may be headed with their DV software. Have a look at this Final >Cut Pro X sneak peek ...
http://goo.gl/gOacn >There's some controversy in the comments about whether Final Cut Pro X >is really intended to replace FC Express or what. Thanks for that. FCPX is (allegedly) a replacement eventually for the current FCP. The problem is that editors on the whole are a very conservative bunch - it will take the best part of 5 years to get current FCP users onto FCPX. Our problem is that when you use the software to make a living, you have a good setup that works smoothly, you tend to stick with it. If I ever do anything major to my Mac, I do it when I have several days off - I can't afford the downtime if it all goes tits up! I suspect I will consider FCPX when I eventually upgrade to new hardware, and once FCPX has well and truly bedded in. I've got iMovie 08 but it's unusable - I suspect I would consider the 11 version as same ;-) -- Cheers, Cotty ___/\__ || (O) | People, Places, Pastiche ---------- http://www.cottysnaps.com _____________________________ -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
