The fellow who used to develop and print my film stuff always (at my
request) put a black rebate around the edges of full-frame prints. I
thought it looked cool, and I think it's (or was) a generally accepted
way to indicate "full frame print".
As you know, Yashica Mats take 110 or 120 film and make square 6x6 (it

was 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 - in inches - back when the camera was new in the
1950s) negs. I've long since lost or misplaced that negative, but
luckily still have the 8 x 8 inch print that was made from it. A scan
of that will be more than sufficient for their needs.
