The fellow who used to develop and print my film stuff always (at my request) put a black rebate around the edges of full-frame prints. I thought it looked cool, and I think it's (or was) a generally accepted way to indicate "full frame print". As you know, Yashica Mats take 110 or 120 film and make square 6x6 (it was 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 - in inches - back when the camera was new in the 1950s) negs. I've long since lost or misplaced that negative, but luckily still have the 8 x 8 inch print that was made from it. A scan of that will be more than sufficient for their needs. Thanks for all the kind words and thoughts! cheers, frank -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
