it's not technically hard to rotate a display, but for some reason few people do it; i do it sometimes (and i have my server's display permanently rotated, though i don't usually view images on it); perhaps i'll do a session with my vertical images with the display rotated ... in any case at the small sizes many present on the web, the 1200 vertical pixels on my display in landscape mode are still plenty of height for me to take in vertical images
